Fun fact: How the band got their name.
Bryan: We were sittin' up in Greg's dad's attic, trying to think of a band name. We knew we wanted to be "The something", like The Ramones, The Dead Kennedys. We gotta be a "the" band. So we're looking around, in my head, I'm looking at stuff and I'm putting "the" in front of it. "The this," "the that".
Greg: Names, names. The Wall. The Chair. The Floors.
Pete: The Cool Ranchers?! Like, 'cause we'd always eat Cool Ranch Dorito's. Kinda glad that one didn't stick...
Bryan: I was wearing a pair of Doc's (Martens), like I am now, (looks down) and I went "bouncing soles..." Like, off the tag, on the back. I think I must have looked at saw "bouncing sos". So I went "bouncing soles..." And everyone's like "yeeeahh..." And I'm like "And we'll spell it s-o-u-l, like soooul. Souls. The Bouncing Souls. And that was it!
